He is an inventor of the Perclose wound closure device and holds 12 patents. |

| Dr. Shklanka has over 40 years of experience in the mining industry. He worked for the Placer organization and was responsible for the acquisition of Tanzanian gold deposits which led to the sale of Sutton Resources for CAD$525 million in 1999. Most recently, Dr Shklanka was the Chairman of Canico Resource Corp which was purchased by CVRD for over CAD$865 million. |
